Personally speaking, I think the hounds fight just as hard as Tope pound for pound, or somewhere near anyway. It’s just that Tope are usually much bigger (20-35lb being typical from the shore), and have teeth to bite off the unprepared.

That said, the quantity and quality of Tope on the South Llyn at present is really exceptional. Most have been over 40lb, a good few into the 50’s and at least one 60lber to my son Mark.

That's some fish out the river :clap: :clap: . I realise that knowledge and experience you have earned you to catch specimen fish m8. It gives us less experienced anglers the motivation to carry on trying as you have proved there are some big fish in the river
