Lovely morning.

Steady through the day, pin whiting, a small codlet, usual dogs
Early afternoon and the first ray. Not huge, about 3lb, but nice to get one out

Then a couple of small taps, looked like whiting, left for a few mins and continued with gentle taps
Reeled in and straight away, this is no whiting!
First shore caught huss of the year, great scrap and managed to get it up ontothe rocks. Well chuffed. It's not a species i have had much luck with, so bit of a bonus
Lovely fish, incredibly strong and i guess it was nugding towards 10lb
I don't carry scales, but will sort some out for the next trip.

The dogs and whiting continued.
Just before the sun set, another reasonable tap tap and into something very special.

A second huss, bigger than the first one. Struggled to get down to it with the red weed on the rocks. It's a bit slippy to say the least
Unfortunately having got down, i left the phone in my box, so no pics
Darkness came and it simply went nuts. I had to slide my way down to a lower rock platform and get a footing was difficult
Two thornies in quick succession - i would say 5-6lb, followed by a third huss slighly bigger than the previous two

No photos, just a quck release to get the fish back. Getting back for the phone was'nt worth it on that red weed
And of course dogfish
With it cooling down at 9pm, the rocks were hazardous and so i called it a day
Went back down for 6am, but other than lovely weather, no fish.

Headed home at 1pm, well satisfied
