couple of days on Anglesey

Postby wrasseman » Fri Mar 22, 2019 7:34 pm

Just had a few days on the island cleaning the cabin ready for summer but had a couple of short trips onto the beach at Church Bay and the fish dock at Holyhead, only doggies and small whiting nothing massive but plenty of them and they kept the rod tip nodding, managed to drop the rod on the dockside and ping three ring liners cracked, the only problem with these conti rods and new sic rings. will need to source some new ones, whatever happened to the old diamite hardened steel?
Foraged half a bucket of wild oysters on the way home, not sure whether to eat them or freeze them for summer bait, they knock spots off mussels as a bait.
