You can catch Plaice anywhere at Caldy.I would rather fish 2 hours either side of low at the groyne by the Derby Pool pub.

Too early now.They return from spawning end of April/early May and start to fatten up.

prefer the channel below the double slip by the boating pool at new brighton a couple of hours before of low fishing up and over high off the slipway usually fish from end of may onwards

With the warm weather we are having and the recent big spring tides it wouldn’t surprise me to see a few plaice and rays showing over the next week
Plaice are being caught in the south coast and around the morcambe Bay Area already
