Cod Corner - New Years day!

Postby seaangler » Thu Jan 03, 2019 10:03 pm

Myself, Ritchie & Sean decided to to head over to Cod Corner New Years day for a meet up, fish & BBQ.
With the tides being 26ft and the weather favourable, we felt that we may snare the odd decent Codling or two...

We decided to make things a bit more interesting with a few quid on the heaviest fish, so i wasnt going down without a fight lol
First in was Sean with a small Whiting.....
Image
After many small Whitings later i had a decent knock & landed a Codling of 2.14lb....
Image
Literally the next cast resulted in a 2.40lb Coding for me....

After the Coling it was just small Whiting & Codlets for all of us.
Before we packed up it was time for the prize giving with the looser reluctently handing over the winnings, but his face does say it all   .......
but then the money did look a bit dodgy on closer inspection lol....

Happy New Year to all.

If people concentrated on the REALLY important things in life....... There would be a shortage of fishing rods and reels

excellent report and looks like a great day out and lot of banter. Love the barbecued sausages idea and the dodgy cash but surprised the mods allowed the product placement in the first shots     .

if you look at the the products in question we had are hands over the name of the product.
You could say the same about the fishing product that am wearing around my neck or the rod am using.
More than welcome to take it up with mods. If they not happy then am sure pictures will be removed
