Cod Session no3

Postby Big Hitter » Mon Nov 26, 2018 10:18 pm

So I was chompin at the bit to get out again to my favourite river Cod spot and again it never let me down.
Image
Tactics was my usual big bait clipped down and fished at distance on an Ebbing tide. Image
Out it went and it wasn’t long before that big thump and slack line arrived.
Fish no1 on the bank.
Image
Then no2
Image
Dark soon drew in and fish no 3 was landed
Image
Which turned out to be my best of the night
Image
Wasn’t too long before no 4 arrived
Image
As the run eased off I managed one more Codling after a couple of Dogfish.
Fish no5 was a welcome sight
Image
All in all a lovely session on the river on a flat calm night. Think I may have had more if there was a chop on the sea but enjoyed every minute of it.
The 5 fish of the night Image
Be back down for sure in the next few days.

I only ever fish ebb or flood for Cod to be honest Stan. In my opinion you’ve always gotta have movement/tide run for them. Never really done any good when there is no flow.
