Monday Evening Perch rock

Postby parky1991 » Mon Nov 12, 2018 9:55 pm

Still had some bait left over from the winter league match so figured Id head down to perch rock this evening and try and snare a thornie.

Got there 4 hours before low with the pick of the beach available. Opted for my usual spot in line with the green buoy and sent my whole squid to the horizon. Throughout the session the whiting were onto the baits before id put the rod back in the rest.

Ended up cracking off a few times during casting as it got darker and ended up losing my distance rigs :doubt: :doubt:  , so ended up resorting to a flapper and enjoying the regular double hits of fish.

Unfortunately target thornie didn't make an appearance but ended up with around 20 or so whiting to 34cm, 4 doggies and a dab.

Nice lil pleasure session in the end, will be back out to otterspool again one day this week too.

Just poor casting technique i think ha Haven't been fishing in the dark for a long while. Case of not releasing soon enough i think.

Nice session. Perch Rock does it for me at the moment. Otterspool on sunday over high was very poor for me.

If people concentrated on the REALLY important things in life....... There would be a shortage of fishing rods and reels
