Wales Angling

Postby GAZZ3R » Sun Oct 28, 2018 6:41 pm

After meeting Brian (whistleing sands ) and his Brother Graham (GRAY70) at Menai we made our way to the first Mark Moel y Don. It was my first time at that mark but ill defo be going back as it is a nice comfortable sandy mark with no snags, it was a bit slow to start with us all taking doggie sized Huss. Brian has fished this mark quite a lot and told me that it would pick up once the Tide started making its way in, and right on Queue I got a some tip action which resulted in a nice Huss being landed https://www.flickr.com/gp/152834196@N06/0VaB4M Shortly after the Tide picked up pace and that signaled the end of the first session. After a nice Chippy tea we all went on to Cymyran in the hope of us all Snaring some Small eyed Rays and on arrival conditions looked almost perfect as it was nice n still with not an ounce of weed knocking about. Again it was very slow apart from the odd Doggie and Whiting between us all, then about an hour or so into the Ebb I managed the Target Species, My first ever Small Eyed Ray, weighing in at just 2lb 4oz https://www.flickr.com/gp/152834196@N06/7y2UZ3 Not the biggest in the world but mission accomplished eventually. We were all a bit tired shortly after that and called it a Night, Nice to meet up with Brian and Graham and look forward to the next session

Nice Huss, and well done getting your Ray.Off to the island tomorrow for the rest of the week and was thinking of giving Cymyran a go but not been there for years, can you still use the track down the side of the airbase.
