Moston. 19/10/18.

Postby starfish » Sat Oct 20, 2018 12:26 pm

I took Tom and paul too moston in search of some sea snakes
conger were the target fish for the night
and a little warm up for the start of the conger season. :D

I showed tom and paul the ropes with regards too conger fishing
they were both very keen too get catching
but sadly the action was rather slow tonight
one missed bite from myself very early on and then nothing for 5 hrs
nothing but small whiting knocks for most of the night.

Then at long last my left rods ratchet went off with a click click :D
so i waited for a bit as it was a very shy bite
then after 5 mins my right rod had the same knock
i still waited patiently then again the left rod went off
but this time i got hold of the rod and waited for the next knock
then tap tap and a good pull down and strike
i hit the fish just in the nick of time
and it was conger time and fish on.

Paul clambered down too the waters edge
as the fish got closer and got ready too pull the conger out
and what a grate job he did cheers mate. :D

The conger was dead on at 10.03. :D
it also throw up a live whiteing when i pick it up
so that may have explained the. 0.3

Sadly that was it for the night
but Tom and Paul are now clued up and ready too head back anytime they like
good luck lads
