Finally got away to Rhos on sea not The Island,as planned (no Bear Grylls).
Went walking from western end of Gt Ormes head on Sat morning and filtered my way down to the rocky beach hoping to spin for pollack etc but alas the wind had got up and the water looked rather uninvited and rocks rocks rocks every where.

So I had to make do with a nice walk in the sunshine back to the caravan for lunch.Called in at the Tackle and bait shop in Rhos by the jetty now . Was told nothings been caught lately ( would have preferred a fib or two really) and he had no lug or rag neither fresh or frozen so it had to be frozen sandeel to go on the beach tonite for the low water up a couple of hours.

Turned out to be a warm evening and first three casts brought a smallish whiting but soon after dark the doggies lined up for the bait. After five dogs I decided to chuck it in.
Eight fish from a pack of ten sandeel.
Sorry cant take pictures in the dark but you know what these fish look like
See you all in the winter league for the cod season.
