It was my first time fishing Connahs Quay today... 4 of us took the short journey to target some flounders
Fishing started off slow with not a bite for the first hour and a half and then they came on the feed as the tide start coming up the slope
Most of the fish were of a poor standard many being the size of your palm
I was first to find a better fish chucking some rag worm tipped with mackerel 20 yards out on to the slope
Gary had the best fish of the day a beauty that measured in at 44cm’s
Other than the mud a very comfortable and easy to fish venue with some good size flounders to be had
