Pwllheli Quicky

Postby Godders123 » Thu Jul 12, 2018 11:05 pm

I was working out of HQ in Pwllheli today and so before I headed back along the A55 I decided to have a couple of hours on the beach.

Nipped to Llyn Angling in Penlan Street to pick up a pack of mack then headed for the golf end of the beach.

I fished one rod at distance and the other with a washing line rig close in.

Nothing for the first hour but then a few sharp pull downs registered some activity. Before long I’d beached a double header of Mack and a small snotty, which had done what all snotties do best and buggered my trace up!

I wasn’t doing too well in picking up one of my 2 target fish on my washing line ring. The gars just weren’t playing ball today. But before long my other rod tip registered a flurry of rattles and my other target was landed, a little bream.

The tide was well into the flood by now and I had interest from bream on my next cast but no hook up. And before long time was up and it was time to head back.

The gar eluded me today, but I’ll be back!

Best beach in the country. Never know what you’ll catch there. Well in Graeme. :D

Wish I'd known you were up here mate.

I was a few miles down the road hammering the schoolies on a Savage Gear line-thru Sandeel.

Well done on the bream btw :)
