Rock Channel 15/5/18

Postby stephen atkinson » Tue May 15, 2018 8:23 pm

Got to Harrison drive 3 half hours before low, me first crossing of the year in my search for a smoothy, looked out and there was already someone doing the crossing, took him a fair bit off time to get across as he was still half way across by the time I got suited and booted and made my way to the waters edge, i crossed right of the post, which was shallow half way then got a bit deeper but shallowed up pretty quickly, made the walk, and past the guy who made the crossing he stopped half way I carried on to the top. Image First chuck had fresh peeler, I wouldn't do the walk without it, and me tip gave a nod and wound in probably the smallest thorny in the mersey. Image Not what I was after but no blank was on the cards, I persevered with 2 rods and didn't get another knock till half hour before low then me second thorny was beached.Image Not big but a welcome sight after not having a knock for a few hours, sacked it at low as I ran out of bait, and made the walk back, it seems to go on forever. Gonna have a go again Sunday morning see if the hounds want any breakfast. Alright

Good effort Ste. I watched a guy walk back from Harrison, and it seemed to be 30mins of non stop walking. That first thorny is amazingly small, could have done with a coke can for reference
