Hattrick of Huss

Postby Godders123 » Mon Apr 09, 2018 7:16 pm

Gaz and I had a trip over to the west coast of Anglesey last night for a crack at the rays.

Image

When we arrived we were a little surprised to find that there was a lively 4ft swell.

Image

Not ideal for the rays unfortunately but we gave it a go in any case.

Image

Gaz was straight into a nice huss but unfortunately we didn't manage to land it in the lively surf.

Image

As darkness fell the huss came on the feed nicely and I took 3 double figure fish, the best going to 11lb 10oz and dropped another good fish towards the end of the session.

The swell picked up again during the flood and the sea spray dampened the rocks making them too slippery for our liking. We called it a day and headed home.
No rays but an enjoyable session all the same.
