paul medd had a cracking fish on the first day but after that the fish were few and far between
paul is probably one of the best casters on the field and that payed off nicely along with some very good local knowledge and good home work
we meet him and his dad on the second day in the early hours they were moving to a difrent location due to the large swell and weed
this agin payed off for him as he took another insize codling for 12 place on the second day and that gave him the over all win :D

we fished the first day at dimo the sea conditions were real bad and it was blistering cold the conditions kept the fish well out
only two fished showed along the whole stretch and both were under sized whiting
the lad next to me had the only incised fish a nice flounder giving him the largest flat of the day and the over all flat for both days

the wind got right up in the night and the swell got even bigger the waves were coming from over 1000 yards out and hitting 18 ft height
the whole cost from spurn to whithensey was weeded out we had to bail from are first mark and move
any in sized fish would see you in with a good chance as very few fish came out all along the whole coast over the two days
average cod was only about 2ld and only a few good sized fish came out the sea conditions and weather and the extreme cold snap
along with the dredded weed and strong storm surge made it a very difficult weekend
but it was a real good must do avent 3 days of hectic fishing but an experience well worth doing
grate to meet old and new faces and there was far to much beer and fishing it was just a good crack really
and i am looking forward to next year :D

It is a good weekend away, but so frustrating when the conditions destroy your enthusiasm. Distance casting is always good to have in your armoury, but the 7lb cod which won on the Sunday was caught at 40yds.
