Otterspool 13thJan

First time on the Mersey since moving down from Scotland. Not a lot to report . Fished 2.30-6pm over low and first of the flood. 3 rattles and that was the lot. There's always next time.

i thought otterspool is a high water mark you should have fished 6 till 9 we fished mariners last night bit slow 6 whiting couple of dabs mersey has been
poor of late but starting to improve.

The cod often feed on the first hour or so of the flood,then go off until later in the flood.

Yes always had more success with the cod around Arbroath at low water. High tide promised much but rarely delivered. Need to put some hours in to learn this new venue for me.
