Otterspool Prom 06/01/18

Postby OJarvis » Sun Jan 07, 2018 5:08 pm

Fished the prom on Saturday to get out for my first session of the year, was hoping for a cod but ended up with nothing.

Tide was pretty damn high, first couple of casts didn't hold bottom at all, after that everything was fine up to high water and the hour after.

Spoke to a couple of other guys fishing there, one caught a single flattie, the other had a couple of whiting.

Was using left over lug and bluey from my last session.

With the first blank of the year out the way hopefully the next session will produce something special!

Tight lines!

Absolutely Kev, if you were guaranteed to land something each session it'd be called catching not fishing :D

I was using a pennell pulley rig, 4/0's ... might have been more successful with a flapper rig with smaller hooks... ?

Cheers though! on to the next one!
