Ty Croes 28/12/17 HW

Postby Dyl » Sat Dec 30, 2017 1:30 pm

Itching to have my final session for 2017 and hoping to gain a few more points in the specimen league table, first choice was Amlwch Port but as I crossed the bridge onto the island the straights looked flat calm so changed my mind and went to Ty Croes. I would be fishing 1 1/2 hrs up to HW and high at 5:30 pm and 4.6M. Fishing off a spot safe and fairly high up (this could have been a problem if I’d hooked anything big) fishing 2 rods one 2 hooked flapper size 2 hooks and the other clipper penned pulley rig. First rod was set up and I was immediately in with a Whiting then in again with a double shot followed by my first ever pouting

Quickly followed by some tip action on the larger bait with another first for me weighing 1lbs 7oz not a monster but still my first Conger and bang on HW

Followed by another on the flapper rig

Must have finished off with 20+ Whiting, 1 Pouting, 2 Conger and this dead weight on my final retrieve

Great session to finish the year off I love fishing Anglesey and will be hoping for plenty more sessions there next year.

All the best for 2018 and thanks for all the knowledge passed on through the site or whilst fishing in the leagues it’s a great place to learn if your a new to sea fishing.
