otterspool

Postby sunnybouy1 » Wed Dec 13, 2017 9:50 am

hi all this is my first report so here goes.
fished otterspool yesterday afternoon with a friend who has limited sea fishing as he does mostly canal fishing. fishing was poor as the southeasterly wind put the mockers on it. bait was southport froozen black and squid on a pully rig. the few bites we got was few and far between. i had one good bite and a slack liner but could not connect so i sorry to say that we blanked .tight lines and a merry christmas to you all

I think I was fishing to your left. I didn't get a single bite on scratching flapper rig for over 1 3/4 hours.

I hate to say this, but not long after you had packed up I started getting bites off Whiting. Ended up with 10 x Whiting in two hours before the ebbing tide picked up.

It was cold in that SE wind with the rain blowing in your face.

It was worth the effort in the end as I caught a personal best Whiting measuring 43cm.

Until the next time, all the best.
