Eastham Sunday

Postby Tom » Mon Nov 27, 2017 2:01 pm

We braved the weather to fish Eastham.
My first time here and I always expect a blank if learning a new venue but later changes to my setup had the fish pinging in

After both rods tangling, me climbing down the meshed steps to unsnag in the hail and rain. I bumped into a rolling ledger on the ground then sorted my bait n rigs back out but changing the gripper to a rolling lead to see if this would pick up any bites..
Just 10mins after I was bringing in Whiting every cast, on short black lug tipped with mackerel

So switched them both over to rolling leads with good success, especially from the lack of bites with the gripper (don't knock it till you try)

Then two consecutive 5B Rocklings made an appearance. Now bumping my 5Bs up to 4 this year :D

Nice place. Bit difficult to cast with the trees but patches are OK
