Well, I fished the match last night and came.................nowhere
The format of the match was ya single biggest round added to your single biggest flat. I had a few nice whiting but for the life of me couldn’t get a Dab to add to it.
Phil ‘Big Fish’ Simpson won it with a Dog and a Dab for 78cm. My biggest Whiting was 35cm so one decent Dab would’ve give me a fighting chance but it wasn’t to be. Ya can’t win em all.
Still lovely to be out with the lads and nice to catch a few even through the flat one eluded me on this occasion. Think that’s the 1st time I’ve fished there and not had a Dab.
Still loved bein out again though :D

Razza, if he’s after something a bit softer than the pendulum or Copperhead I’ve got a ppt 13’6 Sidewinder i’d swap him for either if he’s interested buddy.
The Sidewinder is the rod Neil Mackellow used to show people what Penn was capable of when he was doin demos etc. 8)

Didn’t think he’d let the Copperhead go mate. Absolutely stunning rod. Best rod Penn have ever made. It’s just a Zziplex with Penn stickers on it.
