Vale Park Early 1

Postby Tom » Sun Nov 05, 2017 3:44 pm

Me, Piotrek & Pete set off to Vale Park to do 3hrs down, 2hrs up

For starters we were in quick succession on the Dabs..

Then the weather turned proper bitter, hailstone, gale force wind with the sand

A short weather break gave us a chance to read our bites again. Shortly into the break I saw a drop back bite and hit it to pump and wind a nice Thornback ray in. I thought it was a rat at first sight as I could only see 2 green eyes in black seaweed

Then Piotrek had some nice double shots of Dabs and Whitings

Pete was getting into some nice size Whiting

All of us had at least one rod rest knock over to give you an idea of how carp the weather was

No Codling just yet but maybe next time :)

Similar session to the one I had last Thursday. No sign of any cod or cod bites then either. Nice markings on the ray.

Well done fellas, the cod don't seem to be coming out at the low water marks yet. Plenty of time yet.
