Vale Park 2/11/17

Postby Ranny715 » Thu Nov 02, 2017 11:39 pm

Fished here three hours down and one up. Busy session with over a dozen whiting, three over a pound with the best making 1lb 14ozs. Photo doesn't really do the whiting justice however my boots are 35cms long so you get the idea.ImageImageImage
Also one thornback ray weighing 7lb 9ozs and a solitary dogfish of 1lb 13ozs.
As usual here a suicidal dab took a whole squid on a 4/0 hook!
No cod and no cod bites.

Great session, pity no cod showed. The stamp of whiting the last few years has been outstanding.

Whiting fishing the last few years has been fantastic. Wouldn't surprise me to see a few over 2lb coming out this year.
Also think the rays may well hang about through most of the winter.
