He’s well and truly hooked!!

Postby Big Hitter » Mon Oct 30, 2017 10:08 pm

So me and Ste headed off for Guinea Gaps double slip. Only a small tide so I opted for a 2 hook flapper and also set up a 2 hook clipped rig so I could belt a few.

First cast on 2 hook flapper resulted in a double shot of Dabs. Image

Followed by a small whiting.

So with not to much tried one I decided to give one a good belt with 2 hook clipped. Out it went.
Resulting in 1st Dog of the night.

Closely followed by a nice whiting Image
And Ste also got in on the action with his 1st fish of the night Image
Not the biggest whiting in the river but brought a smile to his face.
Then for me it was Dog after Dog.

Which I really don’t mind as I love catching dogs. Must be the match Angler in me, as a lot of my match fishing was based around dogs and whiting.
Anyway, they kept coming, and then last chuck the best part of the night happened, Ste’s 1st ever double shot of Dogs. Image
I was made up for him, following his 1st Ray on the Fort and now his 1st double shot of Dogs. He is well and truly hooked and is keen as mustard to learn.

Well done Ste. Next mission is ya 1st Cod.

Cheers guys. :D
Think we take for granted catching fish, whether it be a 10lb Cod or a 2lb Dogfish but when you see the delight on someone’s face that’s just started sea fishing when they catch anything it makes ya realise how amazing our sport is 8)
