Richie Fisher wrote:Really enjoyed the session and was a nice night to be out. Fantastic to see so many fish returning to the Mersey after the jack-hammering has stopped.

Interesting comment re jack hammering. This is my third season fishing the Mersey and first for a summer season. My first winter season resulted in a load of quality codling but the second just the one and the third, best season. Wondered if it was a one off poor season or the result of the hammering across the way. Suppose we'll never know for sure but it is a big coincidence.
Great session by the way and fabulous to see hounds up the river. Wonder how far up they have been caught.

If people concentrated on the REALLY important things in life....... There would be a shortage of fishing rods and reels

Probably at Perch Rock today  Sounds similar to my blank and biteless session at Talacre last week.
