Arrived at Harrison drive about 3.30 got suited and booted and made the walk to the waters edge, Richie Fisher was waiting to do the crossing also, gray and brian where not far behind, we got across just as the bank was uncovering, we made the walk to the point having a chat with Richie it was his 5th time venturing down the bank and my 6th with pretty much nothing to show for it, plus probably used over 100 peeler crab aswell in my efforts to land, what we all do the walk for a smoothhound, first cast or second cast for Richie and he shouts over the words that we all want to hear I'm on Steve it feels a good un, I goes down to Richie and his rods got a decent bend in and after a bit of a tussle I tail end his prize a lovely smoothy of 8lb 10 was beached.Richie got a pic on his phone. Half hour later my rod tip sprung back slackliner and I too was having a bit of a tussle and Richie did the honours and tail ended my first smoothy of the year 6lb 9. I was buzzing.

Not long after that I was getting indications something was on me bait, then it went slack pulled in a little thorny of about 3 half lb.

So all in all it was a pleasant afternoon am back out there Saturday see if there still about. Oh and another plus Richie pulls in my rig lead and shockleader that I lost well over a week ago that he kindly gave me back happy days.
