A good start to the year

Postby Degs the 2nd » Sun Jan 04, 2015 2:38 pm

Joe and myself decided to start the year with a conger session so we headed to the top of the Anglesey to
fish 4up and down a few hours.
The fishing was busy for the first two hours with a decent eel for Joe,several small codling between us and a couple
of mini's for Joe,one being a nice tadpole fish

Went quiet for a few hours, the odd bite getting snagged up or letting go,then the eels came on the feed again'
lost a few good ones between us,Joe loosing a good double just as i was about to gaff it....oops...we had a few
fish though, the best one for me had the scales bouncing around 14lb

Then a nice little huss for Joe before the long hike back to the car

A good start to the year, fingers crossed for the rest of it. :D

I know mate. These days I normally put one big bait out there and then use the lure rod for the Mack, Pollack, Wrasse etc. Must go back putting a smaller bait or two out in the rough stuff to see if I can find one. Had a nice 2llb Three Beard there a few years back. Anyway, back on topic. Well done again :)
