LLANDUDNO MATCH REPORT 15/03/14

Postby morrow » Sun Mar 16, 2014 9:05 am

Great turnout yesterday at the pier with 51 anglers attending and all for a very worthwhile cause - Macmillan Cancer Support

We raised a total of £523.29

I am sorry that it didn't run 100% smooth but it was my first match and although a little disorganised we got the job done  We booked on at the pier entrance were it £5 in and you could also buy raffle tickets there was also curry and rice for sale later in the evening to warm you up!

It was good to get support from some of our familiar faces too :)

The weather held up and 51 anglers made way to our chosen spots as i was asked by the pier not to peg it! There was plenty of room and there was people right along the pier and some trying to get shelter from the wind like myself.

Lovely dry evening but the wind really did pick up and made it uncomfortable at times

Species wise there were plenty of dogs, whiting, codling, rockling and i caught my first ever pouting so a first for me :0:

We fished till 11pm then packed up and met by my van to do the raffle and announce the winners

1st & 2nd was taken the Middleton brothers from the jolly boys site - well done lads  493cm & 320
3rd place James Morrow 319cm (i was 1cm from 2nd)
Glen Barnish 318cm
Mark Vierlant 214cm
James Peak 194cm
Frank 188cm
Steve Edge 179cm
Bruce Hough 122cm
Dylan Hough 120cm
Phil Chandler 91cm
Graham Kellett 74cm
No Name 72cm
Macca 54cm
Donna from Buccs 41cm
Gary Ferguson 27cm

I didnt get all the sheets back but we did verify each one! Most took theres away
