THE SPLENDER OF GREENFIELDS

Post by JAGS »

well after a wet dull day at the alt on sat . a few of us decided the bank holiday gloom wouldn't stop us going out and i decided on greenfields for our adventure
and what a glorious sunny day it turned out to be . golden sands calm waters it was like maspolamas with water
Image
so myself lucky p and paul set up camp

Image
crab was the order of the day and 2 hook flappers size 2s and 4s would see us through the day . not long to wait on first cast produced a nice double shot a good flounder and eel :D
Image
it wasn't long to wait for lucky to snare a good eel i think its his first this year well done lucky
Image
with a good head of plump flounders coming in the day was of to a good start . and paul hauled in his first good eel of the year :D
Image
through out the morning we had a good haul of eels and flounders but sadly no plaice that we hoped was lurking about
Image
so it was time to do the full monty barms
Image
the smell of bacon encouraged another lone angler entering the beach to have a shot at those eels and flounder . nice to meet ya fella
well the tide does pull here as it was 28ft but it didn't deter the fishing with more flounders and eels coming in slowly.

we fished it 2 hrs down and with little crab left it was time to reluctantly call it a day . in all it was a superb day out with great company cheers jags
