Used to fish this a lot years ago, some good smooth hound around June /July, bass too but they were hit and miss, ( Pont Lyfyni which is just before it always had a better stamp of bass due to the nature of the ground ) and there was the usual dogs and occasional Bull Huss,

Nice clean venue to fish and easy parking, good luck!!

Aberdesach is also a good bull huss mark and as mentioned a good bass mark on its day. Very rough ground to the right near the point, pretty clean elsewhere.

I remember a Sea angler article years ago with Johny Fawcett and his son bagging up on thornbacks at Aberdesach in February...
Do they still show there?

Are you sure it was aberdesach , they use to fish for the rays at Dinas dinnelle. Cast 3 big baits out at low and then back up to high using boat reels with loads of line. John Fawcett still fishes matches occasionally and was at the NWASAC PMS F&F last month,Brian into his fly fishing.

Yes they fished for the rays at Aberdesach and then in April at Dinas for bass.
