Personally, I think this is great. Bridlington should do something similar too, charge the locals £ 10 extra to win all the prizes.

All the 'pools fodder' stopping over should have a discount for staying at the Sponsors Caravan Site and having to spend all that money on accommodation, beer and food that the Sponsors have kindly agreed to accept off them.

They say sarcasm is the lowest form of wit....they are of course wrong :p :p

Hi folks,

after a couple of discussions and feedback regarding the entry for local anlgers into the British Open Beach Championship we want to offer a gesture of goodwil with a £5 discount on entry tickets bought before Friday 13th August.

This would reduce the price for all entrants not stopping on the holiday park to £25 for the weekend. This would still get you competition entry and also access into the holiday park for the duration, including access to the workshops, entertainment, exhibitors and the holiday park facilities.

Visit www.britishopenbeach.com for more details or e-mail info@britishopenbeach.com

Cheers and tight lines

Fishing forum and computer advice at the same time, you lads are very advanced!

Just to update the post about the general rules. After taking advice from local anglers no smoothhounds or dogfish will be weighed in. This might limit potential catches but as its not measure and release comp it will save a mountain of dead dogfish back at the weigh in.

Tickets are going well and to get the special discounted rate for local anglers you need to purchase your ticket before 13th August. If you have a club or group of 10 competitors we will chuck in two free tickets as well which would reduce the cost even further.

Cheers

OK guys we done enough moaning about this.

Who's in ?

I fancy a bit of this to be honest, even though I have never really fished this stretch of North Wales. Dogfish exception seems OK to me.

Anybody could win this 'un, and we don't need to travel to East Coast to blank in WSF styleee.

JP

( I very nearly knew someone who had a 'van' on Robin Hood, he sold it earlier this year :( unfortunately )
