Off from Wednesday
Thinking of a conger session on the Island, but winds looking pretty severe from south (45 mph!)
Will i got on the north side? Bull Bay etc?

Only here for the cod!
Re: Island this week
Yes you should do, but winds of that speed will still probably cause a swell on the North.

Cheers Gazza!
Just my luck
Worked xmas so i could get days off in Jan and Feb. Jan ended up in bed for 4 days and now weather against me
I guess you are right, can't risk safety with swells. might go Thurs of Fri if it settles down

We're all in the same boat mate, should have been going last weekend but again the weather put paid to that, It's just a case of getting a session in when the weather calms down, good luck

If the weathers too sheite for fishing, cheers yourself up by treating yourself to a new piece of kit. New reel on the way for me

Re: Island this week
You will be wasting your time with a bivvy at Perch Rock.It will end up 100yards from where you're fishing or you will have to move and reset it constantly.I have fished Perch for over 30 years and have never seen a bivvy or brolly. If you walk the big matches at otterspool 90% of anglers have bivvies set up.

What - even more rods 'n' reels?
I'm gonna need a bigger tackle box!
Right - mountain biking Wednesday, might try the river Thursday but the amount of fresh water might be an issue (i have 100 frozen worm and 30 crab left), Island Friday weather permitting
I might even try Pensarn
