My only concern is the Perch Rock match on Sept 9th....fishing 1 hour 40 mins after low on a spring tide is gunna be hard work...i`d rather start earlier to make life easier/less snaggy.

Can we try and deal with whiting and throw them back before we change traces and cast out again?
I cant eat all the good fish floating past dead on the surface sometimes, and its not good for the image of angling?? Catch my drift?
2018 species: At last  Whiting, Doggy, dab, French bass and thornie

it would make no difference as whiting will not go back alive whatever you do they die of shock as they leave the water
there just one of them fish they do not return well at all also throwing them back in will just shock them also try placing them in the water
but all the same they just not too good out the water

Sorry if this has already been answered elsewhere Adam but as a sea match novice could I ask a few questions please.

Do we get a card to note catches
Do catches need to be witnessed by the angler next to you
Is there a particular measure we need to use?

As I said above, apols if this is already obvious to everyone else.

Cheers,
Mark

Mark, don’t apologise, that’s what this section is for. Yes you get given a match card when you book on, yes you need to ensure that all fish are measured and witnessed by the angler next to you, can be left or right it doesn’t matter and any match measure is fine you can pick them up from any tackle shop for about £8
