WSF Winter League 2017 - Questions

Postby Big Kev » Tue Sep 12, 2017 8:50 am

The matches are all local and for any newcomers you can look in the archive section for previous years results. Adam takes a photo line up before most of the matches so by looking at that line up plus the results you can work out where the winning anglers were fishing and maybe this info will help you to decide where to fish though as we all know the fish can turn up somewhere else on a different day. A preview of each venue will also be posted and any questions you may have about any of the venues can be asked. Youill get plenty of info from the experienced lads on the forum. There are no secrets on WSF and the matches are very friendly and relaxed. One final point is don't be afraid to move if it is just not happening where you are fishing (Low Water matches only as high water matches are pegged)

If anyone has any other questions then please post them below

Shame you can't drop a single or two matches, similar how you can drop 3 in the summer matches.

I think this still keeps everybody interested and still in with a chance if they have to miss a match through either another commitment or sickness.

It also helps to keep attendance numbers up of anglers that may just give up because because they may have blanked / missed a match at the start of the League.

It's only my opinion, but it would make the league more flexible and for those that attends all matches they still have the best chance of winning the league.

Town hall match 17th December. As this is close to christmas how about making it a sort of fur n feather match.everyone bring a prize chocolates ,bottles beer etc im sure we all have stuff unopened which we will never use . would make for a little more interest and may get the numbers up for the match . i used to love the permit holders F & F on the dock walls . take your other half something home in exchange for brownie points :-)
