Keep the hook in the eels mouth, use this to pull its head to measure, lie it on its back and run your hand down it. They should calm down if you do this. Not easy but do-able  .

Congers can be pretty docile once you`ve landed them......like silver eels,if you cover their eyes and run your hand along their lateral line, they go asleep...it`s the last 10yds when they go ape

Further to plugging/spinning....if you choose to use feathers/hokais e.t.c you can only use 2 hooks.

Entry has changed to £6 as it is easy to divide equally for a 1st,2nd,3rd pay out....1st = £3 2nd = £2 3rd = £1 multiplied by the total number of anglers......Brian900 has recently changed to it for the Buccs and it makes sense

Just thinking..Is it some kind of bond us anglers have that we will quite happily pick up total strangers just to go fishing :?: :D

No Bill.

I'll tell you what it is.

The majority of people you meet in your life are nice, decent people who will help and go out of their way to be nice to you.

It's just the bad people who leave a bigger impression ( this is further fuelled by The Media ).
I am not a number !

Questions are a burden to others, answers a prison for oneself.
