Being a total newbie to the sport will I be able to enter any of these or would it be preferable for me to gain some experience first?
Cheers

You can register and enter them if you like as you never know what`s gunna happen, but to be honest you will prob be better off just coming along to fish with us and see how we go about things. These matches are fairly relaxed, as you`re not trying to keep your score sheet ticking over,so we have more time to mingle/chat during the matches and help anyone out when we can.

I have just put my name down but I would prefer to just fish alongside ya all without interfering with anyone's match, as I said I am new to sea fishing and only been out a couple times so far, if I could tag along and chat/learn along the way I would be grateful?

We have a few new names registered for this winters league, some of whom are new to the venues or just new to fishing.Although the 2 fish rule gives a relaxed attitude to the matches and in theory ,the chance for anyone to win,the fact is you`ll prob find the same lads in the mix every match. If you want to "get in the mix" do some homework by looking through the previous winter leagues (Archive section) where you will get a good idea of what is likely to be caught,on what baits,in which areas, and by which anglers...don`t be afraid to go for a walk to check out those other angler`s rigs and how they bait up (they`ll have spare baited rigs set up) and ask any questions you like....one of the good things about the lads who fish the WSF matches,is they are always willing to help out where they can...finally don`t be afraid to move during the match,as sometimes it just does`nt happen where you are and a change of spot can make all the difference.

All - use it or loose it, but if you click this link https://www.eventolist.com/e/NRW41NOCWO5OP7S2129K then it will take you to a page with all of the WSF winter league matches.

you can then download them to your outlook or handheld device of your choice (instructions on the right hand side of the link when opened)

hope it helps

£6 with an optional £1 pool for the longest fish. 100% pay out so if 20 fish,1st gets £60,2nd £40 3rd £20 ..longest fish pool = £1 x however many enter which is usually everyone.

But to reiterate just invade Adams 'O' button stops working due to over use in previous response. Dogfish don't count in the longest fish pool

Round 3 - Sunday 27th November - Vale Park - 2.0m Low Water 16:25 - Fishing 13:00 - 17:00....means getting out at 12.30pm,4 hours before low which is pretty ambitious
