NWASAC Two Day Open, 2008 Results

Postby heather » Tue Dec 09, 2008 8:11 pm

We had 201 anglers over the two days attending our 15th annual Two Day open, once again travelling from all over the British Isles and Southern Ireland to fish the ever popular River Mersey.
Unfortunately fish catches was not up to it 's usual standard but at least the weather was good.
I would like to thank, Mersey Anglers, Anyfish anywhere, Sonik and all individuals for suppling zone and raffle prizes.
Thankyou to Ian Brookes, Saun Golightly for helping to peg the venue, Brian Margetts, Pauline Ferry and Richard Burrows for helping Bill and I run another successful match.

Hi all, it has taken me a few hrs to work this photo lark out, but I thought you might like to see a couple of photo's taken at our 2 day

The two day pool and trophy went to David Walls for the third time in the event’s history. He was one of a large and successful contingent from the Isle of Man above is Dave recieving his trophy from NWASAC president John E Williams.

Simon Drayton from Lincolnshire with the longest fish of the competition a 55cm codling taken on lug and mackeral from peg 45 about 80 yds right of Jerrico Lane, all the cod were taken from this area over the 2 days.
